Snorkeling/Kayaking Combination Tours in La Jolla Have the best of both worlds! Some of the richest snorkeling sites are best reached by kayak. On this tour we paddle to the best areas and then hop right in. After exploring the amazing undersea environment of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve, we kayak over to the magnificent La Jolla Sea Caves. There we watch for sea lions, seals, dolphins and learn about the geology and history of the area. Then we glide over the Giant Kelp beds and return through the fun of the gentle surf at La Jolla Shores. Tours Held Daily
(Approximately 2 - 2.5 hours)
8:30am, 10am, 11:30 and 3pm Cost: $55 for single kayaks (adults) and $45 for children, youth 13 and under What is Provided: Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, snorkeling gear and guide. We paddle stable, open-top (also called sit-on-top) kayaks, no experience is required. What to Bring: Shoes that can get wet (tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops), bathing suit and or easy-to-dry shorts/top, t-shirt, hat, sun screen. Expect to get a bit wet. Bring a 'leash' for valuable glasses. Optional: surfing 'rash guard' for snorkeling. Ages and Participant Requirements: Ages 6 and up, must be able to swim What to Expect and Start
Location: Be prepared to
get wet! We launch into waves from the end of our street. Meet at
our La Jolla Shores shop, where you will check in, sign waivers,
etc. We will outfit you with a lifejacket and paddle and snorkeling
gear. After a brief
paddle instruction and safety talk you will walk down to the end of
the street with your guide.
