Our Most Popular Biking Tour in San Diego

Start with the stunning 360° views from Mt. Soledad. After we soak in the sights, we zoom down the 3.5 mile decent to the ocean. Then we bicycle around some of San Diego's MOST prestigious and quaint neighbors, including La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach. On the return, we usually take in the fun at La Jolla's own seal rookery (the Children's Pool.)

Cost:  $50 adults, $45 per person in groups of 4 or more

What is Provided: Multi-speed hybrid-type bicycle, helmet, water, snacks and guide.

Tours Held Daily -  (Minimum two people) 8:30am,  10:30am, & 1:30pm
Tour is about 2-2.5 hours long.

What to Bring: Comfortable shirt and shorts (pants as needed). Jacket, windbreaker or sweatshirt as required. Closed-toed shoes (sandals and flip-flops not recommended!). Sunscreen. Optional: small daypack, camera.

Ages and Participant Requirements: Ages 14 and up. (For groups and families with children 13 or younger, we recommend our Mission Bay bike tour which is done mainly on  bike paths around Mission Bay with only one hill. We offer trail-a-bikes and trailers for little ones).

What to Expect and Start Location: The pace is not strenuous, but expect to do some pedaling! Minimum age is 14 years old. The bike riding on this tour is all on bike lanes on roads. THIS IS NOT A MOUNTAIN BIKING TOUR. The first 3.5 miles of your tour is downhill. The rest of the tour (approx. 10 miles) is done on the back streets of La Jolla, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.  The tour is mostly flat, with a few hills (that can be walked up). We meet at our  La Jolla Shores shop, where you will check in, sign waivers, get fitted for a bike, etc. We drive everyone to the top of Mt. Soledad, and the bikes are trucked to the top. It is a short drive and we provide instructions. Here are driving directions and a map to our shop. Free parking is available on the side streets. The spots marked ‘two-hour” parking are NOT RECOMMENDED (not enough time).
