Moonlight and Sunset Kayak Trips

Sunset Kayak Tours at La Jolla Shores: Paddle from La Jolla Shores, through the ecological reserve, along the La Jolla Sea Caves and into the sunset. San Diego is known for its beautiful sunsets and experiencing the rich colors by kayak provides the serene and intimate setting to make your evening one you will never forget. Alongside your expert naturalist guide, you can expect a chance to see sea lions, seals, dolphins, a vast array of sea birds and fish and even a gray whale spouting off in the distance during the right season. This is a must try tour for anyone looking to get the ultimate San Diego experience.

Moonlight Kayak Tours on Mission Bay:
As the full moon rises over the hills, Mission Bay is bathed in golden light amongst the back drop of San Diego's city lights. Mission Bay is a recreational paradise filled with boats, paddle boards, and beachgoers during the day, but at night it quiets down into our own private playground. We'll look for the vast array of wildlife in the area with the help of our expert naturalist guides as we enjoy this peaceful experience on the water. This tour is very romantic, great for sweethearts in tandem kayaks or anybody who enjoys special, unique activities outdoors.

What is Provided: Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and friendly, expert naturalist guides are provided. We paddle stable, sit on top kayaks and no experience is required.

What to Bring: Shoes that can get wet (tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops), bathing suit and or easy-to-dry shorts/top, t-shirt, hat, sun screen. Bring jacket or windbreaker if chilly. Bring a 'leash' for valuable glasses. We have lockers to store valuables while out on the water.

Ages and Participant Requirements:
Sunset Kayak Tour:Ages 6 and up.
Moonlight Kayak Tour:Ages 2 and up.
